Where O Where Has My Good Sleeper Gone?

Addie has been fighting sleep lately. Just the last couple of days -- she refuses to nap until she's so tired that she gets all worked up and angry. She either has to cry it out, or I have to pack her around in the carrier for a while or put her in the car. Then after all the work she only sleeps her usuall half-hour. And at night she's getting a stuffy nose (only at night) which makes her not sleep or eat good. I really can't complain because she's done really well in the sleep area, but last night wasn't fun. She didn't go to bed until about 10:30pm, then was up at 1pm to eat, up at 3pm angry because of a stuffy nose (we sat up with her, used the "snot sucker", and ran a hot shower until she finally went back to sleep), and then again at 5pm because of her nose again. I have a feeling it's going to be a long day at work. I'm hoping she'll sleep for Daddy today, or it will be a long day for him too. But hey, we're at least getting a little sleep, so I'm sure that's better than some parents! :) Anywho, this isn't actually the reason for this blog. I unloaded the camera the other day:

I had to take a picture of the toys I made for my Valley Bums toy swap. Well, the toys I helped my mom make. :)

I was recently going through my pics of Addie and realized I don't have many of her smiling. So Loren and I got out the camera and this is what we got.

This is a pretty good smile. I actually think she's looks like her Pappy (my dad) here.
Then we got the tongue. This is her new thing -- tongue out constantly. She particularly likes to talk with it hanging out.
We tried the hood. No smile there.
This is her mid-Hulk. She likes to flex and show her guns.
I did get this nice cheesy grin out of her the next day.
She's serious about that Exersaucer!

While Loren was raking leaves on Saturday I decided to try on Addie's snowsuit from Grandma Robin. It's a bit big, but she's still my sweet little Snow Bunny. :)

My babies asleep on the bed (Saturday night when I attempted to write this, but Addie then decided to wake up).

Squash Again?

We had our second try of squash last night. No gagging this time, but I'm not sure that any actually got eaten. We'll do one more try tonight and then we'll move on . . . I'm thinking maybe peas next . . .

You're making me eat squash again?
No really, what is this crap?
K, I'm done.
Hmm, maybe I'll eat the spoon . . .

We also went over to Grandma Dean's on Saturday to visit with my Aunt Chris and cousin Lisa. My mom came too, so it was a nice girl's day.

Introducing Kung Fu Baby!
She crashed on Lisa.

Happy Half-Birthday Addie!

So Addie had her 6-month birthday yesterday and got to go to the doctor (what a special treat!). :) She weighs just over 15 lbs, which still only puts her at the 32nd percentile, and 25.5 inches (42nd percentile) -- she may be petite like her mama (but I'm sure taller). She got her shots, which she was not happy about -- nor was Loren who was finally talked into getting his flu shot (I got mine last week). We didn't really do anything special for her half birthday, but we did try our first taste of solids last night (besides rice cereal). We gave her yellow squash and she was not a fan. She literally gagged, like she was going to vomit. It was pretty funny. :) But we will keep trying -- she still gets squash for the next 2 nights at least. If she's still gagging, then I suppose we'll table the squash for a bit. :) Here are some newer pics to share:

I hate this picture of me, but I think she looks adorable.
This is her at my birthday dinner sitting in the highchair like a big girl!
I just thought her butt looked so cute, I needed a pic.
A little drool . . .
Tired baby.

Happy 2nd Birthday Pierce!

Pierce had his 2nd birthday on Thursday so Addie and I headed over with cupcakes and presents in tow. (For those of you who don't know, Pierce is my good friend Katrina's son)
Here he is devouring a cupcake (they were meant to be red, not pink, but I just couldn't get enough food coloring in there).
Messy fingers . . .
He dropped his green cupcake on the floor, frosting side down, so he decided to lick it up. Can't waste that delicious frosting! :)
Christian got in on the action too!
Very effective way to open a gift. This is his Nalgene sippy bottle -- he always likes mine so much I thought I'd get him his own.

I also got him some blocks, and the favorite seemed to be the squeaky shoes:

Sorry it's sideways -- I know how to flip pics, but not movies.

My Little Ladybug

So after wondering what was taking Erin so long to upload my pics, but also trying not to be too demanding, I come to find out that she had sent them to me 2 weeks ago and they just didn't come through! My apologies to Erin for assuming she was slacking. :) Here are a few of my faves:

Pics of the Kids

Some Daddy-daughter time.
Doesn't Loren look stoked?
Look at those big beautiful eyes!
Help, I'm being attacked!
She liked the bag so much, I decided to put her in it. Ready for a gunny sack race!
Me and my girls.
Mom, stop taking pictures of me!
This is her ab workout.
We like to take pics together . . .
Big girl is sitting up on her own!
Here you can see her red mark from bumping her nose on the desk. (And yes, I realize the outfit is ridiculous.)
Bailey got to go to the dog park for her birthday.
And of course Lukie came too.

I'm pretty sure she had a good time.
